Public Policy & Governance Lab Internship

1. Conduct policy research, secondary research, and review government schemes, rules, notifications, and administrative documents.
2. Support governance diagnostics, departmental assessments, and district-level documentation exercises.
3. Prepare policy briefs, research notes, issue summaries, governance reports, and communication materials.
4. Compile case studies, field observations, implementation insights, and programme documentation for governance reviews.
5. Assist in creating dashboards, trackers, presentation decks, monitoring reports, and war-room support materials.
6. Coordinate research inputs, maintain documentation workflows, and support follow-up activities linked to ongoing projects and assignments.

1. Domain Interest
   Strong interest in public policy, governance, public administration, government systems, and institutional development.
2. Research & Analysis
   Ability to conduct structured research, analyse policy documents, synthesise findings, and generate actionable insights.
3. Communication
   Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare policy notes, briefs, summaries, and stakeholder-facing documentation.
4. Technical Proficiency
   Comfortable working with spreadsheets, document review processes, desk research, data compilation, and structured note-making.
5. Work Style
   Detail-oriented, organised, and capable of managing multiple assignments within project timelines.
6. Educational Background
   Background in public policy, political science, economics, law, public administration, sociology, journalism, or related disciplines is preferred. The fit matters more than the degree.

Mode: Full-Time
In-office engagement with structured assignments, research responsibilities, and regular review mechanisms.

Duration: 3–6 Months
Based on project requirements, performance, and programme needs. Extensions may be considered.

Location: Chennai
With project-linked coordination across government departments, institutions, and field contexts where required.
